The year 2007 has been especially eventful as MAMC is celebrating its Golden Jubilee and MAMCOS was proud to take the initiative to start the celebrations. It was the basic road map drawn up by the Secretary, MAMCOS in association with its executive that is now being implanted as the package of the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee.

The first task which I faced was the organization of the MIDCON 2007. Thanks to the very close knit batch of 1979 and the excellent efforts put in by them the MIDCON was a great success. We invited many dignitaries for the morning walk

and evening I.S.Bal memorial competition was also a great success. MAMCOS was actively involved in the Fresher day program where it presented a short skit and dance by its members. This was held in association with the Golden Jubilee Committee.

We also celebrated the World Elder Day on 1st October. Once again this was in association with the Golden Jubilee committee and the chief guest was Dr.K.C.Mahajan and the oration was delivered by Dr.Kiran Bedi (IPS). These programs were in collaboration with the Golden Jubilee committee.

We have been meeting regularly and apprising our executive of the developments within the committee and of all the programs taking place. MAMCOS has made strides in its independence and now for the first time Synergy has seen 3 sponsors as well as the Cricket match is being sponsored by Dr.Prem Kakkar and Dr. Kumar.

We have planned a full length play for the month of January and a premiere of a feature film in March in addition to the MIDCON-2008. So you will see MAMCOS is indeed going places and is no longer a 2 event organization. This has been possible due to the unstinting support of our President Dr.Usha Baveja and tireless zeal of Dr.N.P.Singh who filled in her gap during her absence.

It gives me great pleasure to tell you we have been meeting regularly and I have tried to delegate functions to as many people as possible so that all are involved. But what is really regretful is the absence of members from the main functions and absence of many executive from the crucial meetings.

I hope this trend is also reversed and very soon we shall see a more vibrant MAMCOS.
