MAMCOS was conceptualized in 1971 and Dr. P.S.Saharia, Dr. Narrotam Puri, Dr. L.D.Sota, Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, Dr. I.S.Bal and many other stalwarts put together their resources and organized a play which had donor tickets and the proceeds went for blankets for the patients at Irwin Hospital. In 1972 a dinner was held on 30th April, as the second get together.
Subsequently the activities were given up for lack of enthusiasm and MAMCOS was hibernating! In 1982 over cocktails (where else can such sweet ideas nurture!!) organized for Dr. Ashok Vaid’s wedding, Dr. Sota was once again stimulated to revive MAMCOS.
Finally the initiatives of Dr. Ashok Vaid, Dr. Sota, Dr. Upendera Gami, Dr. Narrotam Puri, Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, Dr. Sudershan Vaid, Dr. Prem Aggarwal, Dr. K.K. Katyal and the patron ship of Dr. D.S.Aggarwal the MAMCOS was reawakened in Oct. 1986.

Amidst the scorching schedules, it felt like a gentle breeze Want a MIDCON, if you ask, yes yes please!!
It's not just for reunion of Alumni or felicitation of interns, It's a day in one's life that every doctor yearns (for)
It was fun, nay, a blast, I must say,
I hope we had a MIDCON, the every other day.
"MIDCON was such a wonderful, successful event. Everyone was having a blast…it’s been a long time since I’ve been to such a energy filled event, it was such a fun!, that too with my own MBBS batchmates. Again, thank you MAMCOS letting us unite after 24 years, we are so grateful to you.
It was a dejavu moment to connect all my college friends in MAMC campus after 28 years. THE funfilled cultural program in the auditorium and the dancing at Dean's Carpet brought back memories of Goonj and Synapse. I am looking forward to having a blast in the silver jubilee celebrations on 20th December 2020.
Just a short note to say how much I enjoyed the amazing MIDCON 2019. Wow, it was just so special to see so many of our college friends and to meet their spouses and children. Goodness, the time spent together was hardly enough to share all the stories - but it was just so unbelievably great! One really can't believe that 28 years have passed since we joined MAMC and one can only wonder: "flip, where did the years go?!"
Thank you so much MAMCOS for arranging such a wonderful event.
It was a good break between endless work hours and stress. No phone calls, no one to report to. Just dance it off, chat it out with friends and be carefree. Good food and good company is all the therapy one needs during internship. Memories were made to last a lifetime. Thank you for this day :)
